I guess I'm still in the mood for the bizarre and dark... Here's some interesting finds from Miles Aldridge, a British photographer based in London famous for his surreal diabolically tinged fantasies and interesting usage of neon brights. The women in his photographs often look immersed in some deep dark twisted secret and more often than not on the verge of (or already suffering from) a nervous breakdown :-P The results are intensely intriguing, fantastical and disturbing.

Twisted Thursday - Eugenio Recuenco!
I'm looking forward to watching some great movies that border on fantastical bizarre whimsical sinister twistedness... like Alice in Wonderland! Stumbled across this Spanish photographer from Madrid. He works mostly in the publishing and advertising fields (his work has been featured in Vogue mag too) and his personal style has been referred to as "cinematographic" and "pictorial".
I think his work shown on Berthamag fits that theme... O-o

Anyway, here are some of his other not-that-bizarre work :-)
He's one photographer I'll be following closely - his work is amazing!

SHORT HIATUS - Another Beach Getaway!
I'll be away tomorrow till Monday. Goodbye traffic jams. Farewell annoying twits at work. LOL.
Can't wait to get some warm sun on my skin. And enjoy the cool, fresh sea breeze, salty sea water nice and shimmery blue...and burying my toes into the soft powdery sand, with a glass of martini... BLISS! Taking the time to slow down and actually relax will do me some good I reckon. Plus there's the food. And maybe shopping. Or maybe not. :-P
I'll be back on Monday night. Till then, cheers, have fun & take care ^-^
Sorry I Disappeared For A While...
Sorry everyone. I went AWOL for a bit.
I've been trying to figure out the direction of my blog... I've had quite a number of requests to feature pictures of what I wear every day (or so) and put together some personal style ensembles...
Apparently this site isn't quite personal enough... :-P
To be honest, the thing is, I'm not sure if I want to show my face. Or show me. >-<
Plus I'm usually in some odd / awkward funny pose in pictures (or I'll be pulling some weird face, haha!)
I'm a shy creature by nature, really!!! :-| *runs runs runs to the hills!*
I mean, I'm hardly model material and I don't want to be perceived as conceited or show-offy...
My friends may like what I feature, and like the idea but how about everyone else who doesn't know me on a personal basis?
Hmm. But I do admit it sounds like fun. Hmmm...
So yeah, I'm still thinking about it. But I reckon in the meantime, I'll just go back to posting a few items that I fancy or think admirable and worth sharing... until I decide...
Here's a peak of me and what I mean by weird pictures :-P

Friday Fixation - Tribute to 60's Models - Sharon Tate
I've always been intrigued by eras past... especially the glamourous, sometimes controversial breakthroughs in fashion and interpretations of styles. And the models that were the faces of these different styles and thoughts...
I like the 60's - the Swinging Sixties that presented social revolution at a grand scale and the spike in unleashed expression, flamboyance, creativity... the breakthrough in art, music, fashion, culture, politics, women's lib movement and space exploration even... it just oozed a whole lot of freedom.
When people think about the icons of the 60's, Twiggy is probably one of the first to come to mind. But I think I'd like to start my tribute with Sharon Tate.
The Sharon Tate Polanski who was in films like "Valley of the Dolls", "Wrecking Crew" and "Don't Make Waves".
The Sharon who married Roman Polanski, the prominent movie director.
The Sharon who when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant got brutally murdered by the Manson "family" murderers.
The Sharon who is still well revered, remembered and celebrated by her numerous fans around the world.
All info and pictures are from The Official Sharon Tate Fansite.
Her beauty & versatility in vivid colour
