I like the 60's - the Swinging Sixties that presented social revolution at a grand scale and the spike in unleashed expression, flamboyance, creativity... the breakthrough in art, music, fashion, culture, politics, women's lib movement and space exploration even... it just oozed a whole lot of freedom.
When people think about the icons of the 60's, Twiggy is probably one of the first to come to mind. But I think I'd like to start my tribute with Sharon Tate.
The Sharon Tate Polanski who was in films like "Valley of the Dolls", "Wrecking Crew" and "Don't Make Waves".
The Sharon who married Roman Polanski, the prominent movie director.
The Sharon who when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant got brutally murdered by the Manson "family" murderers.
The Sharon who is still well revered, remembered and celebrated by her numerous fans around the world.
